About Kirsten Dudley

Kirsten Dudley brings over a decade of experience in architectural design, having completed her Architectural Technology course in 2009-2010. Her lifelong passion for building design began in childhood, when she would create imaginative homes from Lego, toys, and even tree roots. This early curiosity evolved into a deep interest in architecture, particularly sustainable and natural builds.

At Shelter Building Design, Kirsten focuses on creating eco-friendly and sustainable homes, paying close attention to the life cycle of materials and how design can positively impact lives and communities. Influenced by renowned architects such as Glenn Murcutt and the simplicity of mid-century modern styles, she strives to blend natural materials with practical, peaceful spaces.

Kirsten loves collaborating with clients to design homes that are both functional and environmentally responsible, making sustainability more accessible to everyone. Outside of work, she is an avid hiker and enjoys exploring nature through multi-day treks across Australia and beyond. At home, she enjoys gardening, crafting, and spending time with her large multigenerational family, passing down her love for the outdoors to her grandchildren.
