Kirstie Wulf is the founder and leader of Shelter Building Design, which she established in 2015 with a passion for creative, sustainable, and high-performance design. As a second-career designer, she blends creativity and scientific precision to craft thoughtful solutions for challenging sites and small projects.

A pioneer in hempcrete construction, Kirstie’s award-winning home was featured in the book Hemp Buildings – 50 International Case Studies. She specialises in natural materials, Passive House design, and bushfire-resilient construction.

When not designing, Kirstie enjoys canyoning, mountain biking, and tending her permaculture garden, embodying her commitment to sustainable living.
